Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and TuckJoy, operated from Bengaluru, India. By creating an account you accept them. If you are a consumer, nothing here takes away rights the law of your country gives you.
1. Who can use TuckJoy
You must be 18 or older. TuckJoy is for adults: parents, guardians, family members and authors. Children do not use TuckJoy themselves.
2. What TuckJoy does
TuckJoy writes illustrated picture books with AI. You provide a name, a few details and, if you like, photos of a child, a pet or your own character art. We create a character drawing, a story and illustrations, and deliver them as a flip-book, pictures and PDF files, including print-ready files.
3. Credits and payment
Illustrations use credits: 1 credit makes 1 new illustration. Text edits, PDF compiling, upscaling and downloads are free. Credits are bought in packs; they have no cash value and can't be transferred. Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record and seller for your purchase, and handles tax. Dodo Payments' own terms apply to the payment.
4. Your right to cancel
If you haven't used any credits, you can cancel and get a full refund within 14 days of buying. When you start generating with purchased credits, you ask us to deliver digital content straight away and you acknowledge that you lose the right to withdraw for the credits you use. Details are in our Refund Policy.
5. Photos and content you upload
You may only upload photos you have the right to use. If a photo shows a child, you confirm you are their parent or legal guardian, or have that person's permission. You keep all rights in what you upload. You allow us to use it only to make your book, and we delete uploaded photos as soon as the character drawing is made (see our Privacy Policy).
6. Acceptable use
You won't use TuckJoy to create sexual, violent, hateful or harmful content, or any content that exploits or endangers children. You won't upload photos of people without the right to do so, try to recreate real public figures or characters owned by others, or try to get around our safety filters. We check every upload and every illustration automatically. Breaking this rule ends your account without a refund, and may be reported to the authorities.
7. What you get
Subject to these terms and the law, you may use the books and pictures you make for any personal or commercial purpose, including selling printed books. AI-generated images may not be protected by copyright in some countries, so others may be free to make similar images. If you publish on Amazon KDP or elsewhere, you are the publisher and must follow that platform's rules, including telling KDP that your book contains AI-generated images.
8. Keeping your books
Finished books are kept for 7 days after they are ready. We email you 5 and 1 days before deletion, and you can keep a book another 30 days for 1 credit. Please download your files; after deletion they can't be recovered.
9. Availability and changes
We work hard to keep TuckJoy running and your files safe, but we can't promise the service will always be available or error-free. We may change or stop features. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you by email before the change applies.
10. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from your account page; we then delete your data as described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
11. Liability
To the extent the law allows, TuckJoy is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Bengaluru have jurisdiction, without taking away any mandatory protection or right to go to your local courts that your country's law gives you as a consumer.
